Ok. I finally splashed out on some monitors (up until now I've jus been using my iMacs speakers), but I'm gonna need something to hook up the gear I have now, and the gear I plan in buyin in the not too distant future.
Right now I have:
iMac (using logic 8)
Yamaha hs50 monitors
Mpc500
Very shortly I plan on gettin a turntable and a condenser mic.
So, I'm thinkin of forkin out around £200 (let's say $3-400).
Now, with an iMac, does that limit me to only USB and FireWire mixers?? If I get an analogue one the only place to stick it in my iMac is the headphones jack, does this affect the sound in any way?
Any comments n suggestions much appreciated!!
